Rushi Sunak has won the Conservative leadership contest to become the Next UK Prime Minister, days after Liz Truss resigned.

Lizz Truss resigned after his tax cuts plans and policy overturned leading to an unprecedented economic chaos in the UK, where the Bank of England had to come in to intervene. Lizz Truss served in office for only 45 days, first for any Prime minister in Britain’s history.

The New Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak’s first public speech as UK Prime Minister admitted that UK is going through hard economic times and therefore called for unity and stability.

“There is no doubt we face a profound economic challenge,” Sunak said. “We now need stability and unity, and I will make it my utmost priority to bring our party and our country together.”

Risi Sunak has set a historical mislestone to become the first person of color to assume the country’s highest political office.

Rushi Sunak is the first British Prime Minister in nearly seven decades to serve as Prime Minister elected under the reign of King Charles.
