This decision, aimed at ensuring fair compensation for dedicated agents, was communicated through a press release.

The associations emphasized that this move is not intended to inconvenience customers but rather to address ongoing concerns about insufficient compensation for the valuable services provided by MoMo agents.

During this period, active engagement with service providers will continue to address commission review concerns raised.

“Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for the dedicated agents. During this period, we will continue to actively engage with service providers to address the commission review concerns raised”, part of the statement read.

In conclusion, the associations highlighted the crucial role of solidarity in ensuring the sustainability of Mobile Money services in Ghana.

The temporary restriction serves as a clear message, underscoring the need for a sustainable business model that guarantees fair compensation for all Mobile Money agents.
