UK Prime Minister, Elizabeth Truss has tendered in her resignation after barely a month old in office.

Liz Truss as she is affectionately called, was sworn into office in September after Boris Johnson resigned. The woman leader won against Rishi Sunak in the Conservative Party leadership contest on September 6.

However, exactly 44 days in office as British Prime Minister, she has resigned, becoming the shortest-serving prime minister in history of the UK.

Forbes on Thursday reported that the Prime Minister was “fighting desperately to stay in power after one of her key ministers quit and chaos dramatically engulfed a key government vote last night, sparking turmoil within the leading Conservative Party and renewing calls for her removal”

The Prime Minister lost her Home Secretary, Suella Braverman on Wednesday.
