Election 2020: The issue with my security guard has been resolved – John Mahama finally clears

07/12/2020

Ex-President John Mahama has reiterated that the issue of his security officer’s name, missing in the voter register has amicably been resolved.

The former President, after he has finished voting at Bole Bamboi had an interview with the media. During the interview, he elaborated how his security guard has still not been able to vote because, the EC claims his name is not in the voter register.

One of my security guards, I registered here with him and during the exhibition we checked his name. We got here today and his name is not there and so I don’t know if it is a generalized problem but it is too early to make an assessment. We are waiting to find out what the presiding officer will say. We hope that they can rectify this. These are some of the little things that we kept complaining about”. John Mahama told the media.

However, the President has currently took to social media to share with the party sympathizers that, the issue has been resolved and the unknown security guard has finally voted.

He wrote,” Many thanks to the Presiding Officer at the Bole District Assembly Polling Station. The issue with my security officer has been resolved and he has voted”.
