Sarkodie and Samini has officially announced their unflinching support for Nana Akufo Addo ahead of Elections 2020.
On Monday, Samini posted a photo endorsing the President’s bid to run Ghana for the next 4 years.
He tweeted “These are challenging times for the world. My Voice, My Vote will support Leadership that has empathy and serves to create a hopeful future for the next generation #kpoyaka “
The tweet took social media by surprise.
However, Ghanaian multiple award winning rapper, Sarkodie in a new song titled ‘Happy Day’ has also endorsed Akufo Addo. In his rap verse he said “If Dumsor has ended and my kids are going to school for free then Nana Addo should continue”.
These and more have ignited unending conversations on social media.
Meanwhile, MP for Ningo-Prampram Sam Nartey George has alleged Sarkodie and Samini’s endorsement comes with a fee attached.
According to him, these celebrities were paid GHS 500,000 each. He therefore urged Ghanaians not to by their approval of the NPP party for another term in office.
“Don’t be swayed by any funny endorsements people. We may love their music and groove to it but we don’t trust their political choices especially when they are worth GH500,000” Sam George said.
