Ghanaian pollster, Ben Ephson has advised the only independent MP-elect, Andrew Amoako Assiamah to reject any appointment offered to him by the next Akufo Addo’s administration.
He advised the former NPP MP who was sacked from parliament ahead of the 2020 elections, that he should dissociate himself from the NPP in the 8th parliament.
He told Kwame Adinkra on Pure FM, “If the Fomena independent candidate were to be my friend, I would ask him not to accept any ministerial post.”
He continued that “The party abandoned him and he has shown something that I think has always been wrong with the NPP especially in their safe seat. I like his political courage”.
The Fomena MP shock the nation with his performance beating the NPP parliamentary candidate with a margin of more than 2,000 votes.
However, other reports have surfaced that he has accepted to join the NPP on one condition.
But, Ben Ephson thinks it’s not advisable for him to accept any ministerial appointment the party offer.
