Energy Minister, Peter Amewu’s historic victory in this year’s election was the biggest news for the NPP in the Volta Region. Being the only NPP Parliamentary Candidate who won in the Volta Region, all eyes seems to be on him.
The strategy he used to defeat his opponent was worthy item to be written as part of Ghana’s Political history.
However, there seem to be some challenges on his way to Parliament, with this latest injunction the court has placed on preventing the EC from gazetting him as MP for Hohoe.
Vibeweek has since reported the story.
But, the situation seems flexible since is an interim injunction from the court.
What makes it a bit dicey, is the fact that the application for the injunction was as a results of some residents of Hohoe who have allegedly said they were prevented from voting on Dec. 7th.
Tsatsu Tsikata, the counsel for the residents filed the application on their behalf as it was duly granted on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
