The Flagbearer of NDP and former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has reportedly redrawn from the December 7 General elections.
Barely 2 weeks to the General elections, the widow of the late President Rawlings has exempted herself to contest as President of Ghana.
Konadu Agyemang lost her husband Nov. 12, to the surprise of Ghanaians, and his family. JJ Rawlings died at the Korle-bu teaching hospital in Accra.
However, almost 2 weeks after his sudden demise his wife has filed to withdraw from the Presidential race. Reasons for her withdrawal is not yet known.
It is absolutely clear without doubt that he is withdrawing as a results of his husbands untimely death that has befallen her and her family.
Meanwhile, the party is yet to address the country later today.
