The Flagbearer and Leader of the Opposition NDC, John Mahama has clarified in his latest statement that his party will abolish the Double track system, come 2021 when voted into power.

The Former President made the statement during the Launch of NDC Fundraising Platforms at the International Trade Fair Centre, Accra.

The Double Track system has received a lot of backlash from critics and the NDC when it was initiated by the NPP Government to combat the inadequate resources in second cycle institutions as part of the high intake of students when the Free SHS Policy was launched.

However, the opposition NDC believes it is not an innovative system to fight the challenges the implemetation of the Free SHS brought. Therefore, the Flagbearer has finally revealed his party will abolish it from the education system.

In addition, Former President John Mahama stated that his party when voted into power will ensure that they increase the contact hours of students and teachers in order to adequately prepare students for the WASSCE exams.
