#SONA2020: NDC Parliamentarians walked out of Parliament when Nana Addo walked in

20/02/2020

The Opposition NDC Members of Parliament walked out of the house Today, during the State of the Nation Address. They staged the walk out shortly after the President was about to be introduced.

Ghana’s President who was hit with the greatest shock of his life when he saw the Opposition walked out was not perturbed but focused to deliver an hour and a half of his SONA Speech.

However, the NDC Parliamentarians have attributed their boycott to the President’s failure to listen to their numerous concerns. With a repetition of a line from the Ghana National Anthem “And help us resist any oppressors rule”, they walked out in their all black outfit.

Meanwhile, the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has lead their version of the State of the Nation Address in Parliament, shortly after the President’s State of the Nation Address.
