Veteran Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, known by his stage name Samini has in a new tweet schooled songstress Wendy Shay for overstating her relevance in the music industry.
Wendy Shay in a tweet listed the now-famous 4S signifying the most influential and impactful acts in the Ghanaian music industry all bearing a name beginning with S.
That list of acclaimed acts known to be made up of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Samini was tweaked as the songstress put her name in place of Samini’s.
The Reggae-Dancehall act whose ego seemed bruised hit back by pointing out how desperate Wendy was to make that list.
His tweet read, “There must be power in the letter ”S”. You need a suit with it written on your chest lol. You want to make the list so bad ”WS”? ”S” for star, S for spirituality, S for seriousness, S for simplicity, S for solar……. make I continue? the name must start with ”S” if anything”.
Samini seemed to have taken the words out of the mouths of some fans who were sniffy about Wendy Shay’s tweet and thought she was completely out of line.
Others were also adamant that the Uber driver hit crooner’s post was not self-gratifying but an expression of her desire to break the odds and be successful.
