Realtor and CEO of Wonda World Properties Limited, Nana Kwame Bediako has denied claims that he is fighting against the much anticipated ‘Year of Return’ event, Afronation Festival.

In an earlier publication by vibeweek.com, we broke out a story about why the Afronation Festival may not come on as planned due to an interlocutory injuction we have spotted by the Accra High Court, that has instructed Afronation and its partners to stop all ongoing works at the Laboma Beach where the event is supposed to take place.

There have been mixed reactions concerning the situation as some Ghanaians are smelling a possible sabotage from the CEO of Wonda World Properties to prevent the Festival from taking place.

In an Exclusive Audio spotted by our reporters indicate that Nana Kwame Bediako also known as ‘Cheddar’ has clarify and denied sabotaging the event. He revealed the organizers did not go through required procedure for the acquisition of premises since his company owns the property.

Wonder World belongs to me and Laboma are squatters. They claim their forefathers own the land but of course a land is acquired and the acquisition goes through a procedure. When I heard that AfroNation was on my land I made attempts to speak to them. I know the people behind and Rudy Kwakye so I thought this is a home issue whom I have known for long“.

“We tried our best to resolve it. I’m not trying to stop AfroNation because I feel that if I do it would empower me or make me become better than I am. That’s not what I’m trying to do. I’m trying to make sure that from now onward black people, Africans will start to respect Africans. When you look at this, AfroNation is coming from Europe though it is run by an African, the first show they did was in Europe. They will never do business this way, the way they are doing in Africa”. Cheddar revealed in the audio.

The Afronation Festival was originally held in 2018 in Portugal to project African culture in Europe, before bringing it to Africa with the first show in Ghana.
