Now, he is about to take Africa music on his neck again, with the release of this brand new Album he calls ‘Made in Lagos’. Listen below.
The Album dropped on Thursday, to the surprise of the music community globally.
Meanwhile, Wizkid postponed the release due to #ENDSARS.
PitchFork said the Album was delayed due to Wizkid’s respect for his colleague Nigeria youths who were protesting to end Police brutality. The Album was initially scheduled for release in Oct. 15.
The 14 track Album features top rated Artists including Burna Boy, H.E.R, Skepta, Damian Marley and other top producers.
In a Press release following the #ENDSARS protest, Wizkid said “It has been beautiful to see Nigerians around the world coming together to protest against police brutality. he stressed saying that ” Unity is key. The youth of Nigeria need our collective voices to continue to shine a spotlight to what is happening inside the country. I want to play my part in this and in the movement for a better Nigeria, a better place to live for ourselves, our families—our communities. We will get through this together. Together we move. #EndSARS. ”
This remarkable statement in one way or the other has brought some level of calmness across all areas in Africa’s most populous country.
‘Made in Lagos’ was remarkably dedicated to Nigeria as they fight against Police Brutality across the country.
