#WCW For the Week: Sarah Adwoa Safo Kantanka

This week, vibeweek.com took our wednesday crush to the doorstep of the Dome-Kwabenya MP, the Amazing Sarah Adwoa Safo.

Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo is the youngest ever product of the Ghana School of Law, graduating in 2004 at age 22. She represented the School at various Moot Court Competitions; All Africa (Kenya, 2001), Commonwealth (Australia, 2003) and Jessup (U.S.A., 2004).

Adwoa, a home tutored student, entered the University of Ghana, Faculty of Law, Legon at age 17, after her GCE A’ Level in 1998. She was the Vice-President of the Law Students Union (LSU), 2001 – 2002, a position that earned her commendation from her lecturers and Professors for sterling performance.She was also a member of the Volta Hall Judicial Committee during that same period.


Lawyer Adwoa Safo completed her Master’s Degree (L. L. M) in Government Procurement Law in 2005, at George Washington University of Law School, U. S. A.


Adwoa Safo is the daughter of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, the founder of Kristo Asafo Mission, an industrialist and philanthropist.


Adwoa briefly worked in the office of the Attorney General, Civil Section, Washington D.C, U.S.A after her Master’s program. Adwoa is a practicing lawyer of eight (8) years good standing, she worked with Zoe, Akyea & Co., Kulendi@ Law and currently owns AS, AA & CITI – LAW.


She proceeded to the Public Procurement Authority as the founding legal officer and managed the Legal Department. She played a leading role in setting up the Appeals and Complaints Panel and helped in transforming the Public Procurement Board to become Public Procurement Authority.

Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo Kantanka is the Member of Parliament for Dome- Kwabenya Constituency.
