VGMA to unveil “High School Starz” – for budding secondary school talents

As part of initiatives to make this year’s Vodafone Ghana music Awards a memorable experience, the organisers of the event, Charter House, has announced an a music talent initiative to throw spotlight on budding musical talents in secondary schools.

C.E.O of Charter House, Mr’s Theresa Ayaode made the announcement at the launch of the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards:

“…However, we wish to use the occasion of today’s event to announce one of it’s primary initiatives, which is In line with our theme for this year, “Music First”. We are delighted to announce, in the spirit of inclusiveness  – The High School Starz; a music talent development initiative aimed at throwing the spotlight on budding musical talent in secondary schools who have a desire to pursue music as a career,” she said.

According to Mr’s Ayaode, this initiative is to encourage and nurture young talents.

“This initiative is designed to reignite the passion for music in our schools which are teeming with talent! Also, through this initiative we hope to be able to discover musical talent early, and set them on the right path to developing their career and in so doing help create a sustainable talent pipeline for the Music Industry,” she added.

She however added that details of how this initiative will be rolled will be announced later.
