The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has made some key appointments following a Special Meeting of its Council on Wednesday, June 17.
The appointments include the naming of Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong as the new Vice Chancellor.
Until this appointment, Prof Boampong was the Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences.
His appointment takes effect from Saturday, August 1, 2020.
He takes over from Prof Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, whose tenure ends on July 31, 2020.
Meanwhile, the Council has also appointed Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame as the new Registrar of the University.
Mr Onyame is the Director of Academic Affairs.
His appointment also takes effect from August 1.
He is taking over from John Kofi Nyan, whose tenure also ends July 31.
