Two Absa Bank staff test positive for Coronavirus

Absa Bank Ghana Limited, formerly known as Barclays Bank has confirmed two Covid-19 cases among its staff.

In a memo to staff, Managing Director of the Bank, Abena Osei-Poku said the “affected colleagues are being offered the necessary support for speedy recovery.”

In addition to this, contact tracing protocols have been initiated, the MD added.

She reminded the staff that their health and wellbeing remains top priority and encouraged them to wash their hands with soap and water, practice social distancing and wear masks in public.

If any of them feels sick, Mrs Osei-Poku said “request to get tested. If you feel unwell, kindly contact your functional head, who will ensure you receive the required support immediately.

“Testing is available to all of you on demand,” she added.
