John Terry has signed a new contract at Aston Villa to extend his stay as assistant head coach until 2021.
Former England and Chelsea defender Terry became assistant boss at Villa Park following the appointment of head coach Dean Smith in October.
Villa beat Derby in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final at Wembley in May to end their three-year Premier League absence and secure top-flight football for the 2019/20 season.
Terry spent the 2017/18 season as a Villa player and captained the side to the Championship play-off final, which they lost to Fulham, before taking up a role in coaching.
