Several Social Media users have called for the arrest of the Deputy Trade Minister and MP for Tema West, Carlos Ahenkorah.
This comes after the minister was widely reported in the media for contracting COVID-19 and therefore has been admitted at the ICU in Korle-Bu Teaching hospital.
As he was trending on Twitter as a result of the shocking news, the Deputy Minister has come out clarify matters. According to him, he was diagnosed of COVID-19 and was on self-isolation from last week until today.

According to other media reports, Carlos Ahenkorah has been quoted to have admitted being COVID-19 positive but went ahead to visit his constituency to monitor the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.

However, social media users upon hearing the sudden revelation from the minister have started to wonder why Carlos Ahenkorah could have aken such a risky move. Some are asking questions as to why he has to visit his constituency amid his COVID-19 status, of which he has put people at risk.
