Shatta Wale bags 2 Awards at 2019 IRAWMA in Jamaica

Renowned Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is famously known as Shatta Wale has won an award at the just held International Reggae & World Music Awards(IRAWMA) in Pegasus Hotel Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday 11th May 2019.


The ‘ayoo’ hitmaker after bagging 8 awards at the 3 Music Awards got nominated for Best afrobeat Entertainer and Best Music Video for his hit song ‘Gringo’ at IRAWMA 2019.
Shatta Wale who was overly excited about his achievement took to his social media handle to announce his victory to his fans as this year seems to be a good one for the talented artiste.


The former Zylofon signee won the awards for Best Music Video for his ‘Gringo’ song and Afro Beats artist of the year at the just held IRAWMA.
The SM boss took to his twitter handle to thank God and his fans for voting for him to bag 2 awards at IRAWMA 2019.


“The good news is we just won an award last night in jamaica at the 2019 IRAWMA AWARDS .. Infact am speechless but I will have to thank God for this great honor and the shatta movement empire for voting .. Let’s celebrate this award people ..it’s a world wide thing !!!”
he wrote.


Shatta Wale in another tweet shared photos of the two awards he won as he thanked the organizers of IRAWMA, the management team in the US, the manager in Jamaica, producers and all his fans for their unending support.
He wrote:

The International Reggae & World Music Awards(IRAWMA), established in 1982 acknowledges and honours the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.
