For projecting his country Ghana, Multiple Award-winning Rapper Sarkodie has been announced as the Tourism ‘Year of return ‘Ambassador in an event held at the National Theatre Wednesday.
“Today we will recognise Sarkodie for projecting Ghana and for what he has done in the industry” Barbara Oteng Gyasi, the minister in charge of Tourism, Arts and Culture, stated at the Creative Industry Forum organised by the Creative Arts Council, Ghana, Wednesday morning.

This honour came after Sarkodie was adjudged the Best International flow winner at the recently held BET Hiphop Awards 2019 in Georgia. Sarkodie made a call to thousands of Black Entertainers gathered at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Georgia, United States to make a return in Africa, Ghana for this year’s Christmas holidays.
“This year is the year of Return and I will urge each and everyone of you here, to take a trip back home, come have fun. This Christmas it’s going down in Ghana, so if you’re coming to Africa, choose Ghana” Sarkodie detailed.
