Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has finally clarified why he did not perform at Cardi B Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Rapper was billed to perform alongside other top artistes including Shatta Wale, Kofi Mole among others.
However, the BET Award winning Rapper failed to perform at the Cardi B Concert dubbed ‘Livespot X Festival’ hosted by a Nigerian event production firm, Livespot Nation.
The Rapper has attributed his no show to the organizers failing to stick to their time as stipulated in the contract both parties signed prior to the event.
“According to the contract we signed, I was supposed to perform at 8pm. I was there before 8pm. I had to wait until 1am and I was still not performing. So I had to decide whether to leave or stay. You know what was happening backstage was not okay for me. So I had to leave ” Sarkodie told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
He further mentioned the organizers must come out to explain what the problem was.
“I was not the only artist who could not perform on the night. Several Nigerian Artist did not perform based on similar grounds. So the organisers should be the best people to answer all the questions” Sarkodie stated.
