Sadio Mane has been named as the ‘African Player of the Year’ at the CAF Awards 2019.
This was announced at a star-studded ceremony held on Tuesday, January 7, 2019 held at the Citadel Azure in Hurghada, Egypt.
The Senegalese and Liverpool FC winger faced stiff competition from Mohammed Salah (Egypt & Liverpool), and Riyad Mahrez(Algeria & Manchester City).
This follows a season which saw him win the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup with Liverpool.
