Real Madrid star Mariano has tested positive for the coronavirus ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Manchester City.
The striker tested positive upon his return to the La Liga club following a holiday, and went into isolation.
He has not trained with his Los Blancos team-mates, and will remain at home.
Mariano, 26, will miss the second leg of the Champions League last-16 clash against Manchester City at the Etihad.
Real Madrid confirmed: “After tests COVID-19 made yesterday so individualized to our first team football for Medical Services Real Madrid, our player Mariano has resulted positive.
“The player is in perfect health and complying with the sanitary isolation protocol at home.”
