TV broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah has said her exit from TV3, a unit of Media Generale, has been a blessing.
She resigned from the station following her suspension by the station’s management over a photoshopped picture which portrayed her as having gone to Old Trafford to watch a football match.
Despite her persistent denial, she was taken off their air pending the outcome of a probe, during which time she resigned and joined the EIB Network.
A statement signed by the company’s CEO at the time, Mr Augustus Dickson, said: “After preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3’s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism, management has decided to take Nana Aba Anamoah off the air until further notice.”
Speaking to Nana Romeo on Accra100.5FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo mid-morning show on Friday, 21 June 2019, Nana Aba Anamoah denied ever being behind the photo theft.
Asked that episode in her career had had any adverse effect on her life, she answered: “Absolutely not”.
“If it did, it was positive. I think I wish to use this opportunity to correct it because there was never a photoshop by me. Somebody did that. And TV3 was aware, very much aware. That picture was never from me. Now I am free.”
