Former President John Agyekum Kufour has finally expressed his condolences to the family of the former President Rawlings who just passed on, Thursday.
The news of his death hit Ghanaians hard with shock..
Several people who were not even in good terms with the former President have come out with their condolences and Kufour is of no exception.
The former Ghanaian leader had been widely criticized by the late Rawlings when he was alive, bringing some level of tension between the two former leaders.
However, President Kufour as custom demanded, ignored their disagreements and shared his message of condolence to the family of the late former President.
According to a statement released on Friday, the former President said “even though it wasn’t always he and I agreed on many matters of state – I felt that he was trying to do the best he knew and could, under his peculiar circumstances“.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the widow, former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, their children and the whole family.
