Ghana President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Friday meet the Black Stars before the team jets off to Dubai for pre-2019 Africa Cup of Nations camping.
The head of state is hosting a farewell dinner at the Jubilee house for the teachnical team and the 29 players named in the provisional squad.
Nana Addo is expected to use the opportunity to discuss the captaincy row that threatened to derail the team’s focus ahead of the continental showpiece.
Ghana has not won the competition since 1982 despite reaching the finals three times losing in 1992, 2010 and 2015.
The team will play two more friendlies against Namibia and South Africa before the tournament begins.
