German giants Borussia Dortmund have this evening confirmed the signing of Emre Can from Juventus.

26-year-old midfielder Can only made the move to Juve in the summer of 2018.
The former Bayern Munich youth arrived at the Allianz Stadium on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with Liverpool.

Can went on to enjoy a solid debut campaign with the Italian champions, proving his worth over the second-half of the season as the German international began to settle into his new surroundings.

All told, Can managed 29 Serie A appearances, 20 of which came as starts.
The first-half of the new campaign, though, proved a very different story.

Under new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri, Can found himself on the peripheries of the Old Lady’s squad.

Sarri evidently did not feel as though the technical, free-flowing brand of football which he is attempting to implement is one suited to the midfielder’s characteristics.

This had resulted in Can earning just 2 starts across all competitions thus far in 2019/20.
In addition, crucially, he was omitted from Juve’s Champions League group stage squad.
