November 6 Not Public Holiday – Interior Minister

02/11/2020

The Ministry of Interior has announced that Friday, November 6, 2020, is not a Public Holiday even though the National Farmers’ Day will be observed on that day.

The Ministry in a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery said Friday, December 4, 2020, which marks Farmers Day, remains the date for the Statutory Public Holiday and would be observed as such throughout the country.

The National Farmers’ Day is usually celebrated on the first Friday of December every year, except in election years when it is held in November.

This year’s event slated for Techiman in the Bono East Region is themed “Agribusiness Development under COVID 19 – Opportunities and Challenges”.
