The Brazilian will miss half the 2019-20 group stage after UEFA dished out a suspension for a social media tirade after loss to Manchester United.

PSG forward Neymar has been slapped with a three-game Champions League ban by UEFAs Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee for his angry tirade on social media following his sides
elimination from the tournament last month at the hands of Manchester United .

United were awarded a controversial penalty in stoppage time when Presnel Kimpembe was adjudged to have handled in the area and Marcus Rashford duly scored from the spot make it 3-1 on the night in the Parc des Princes and 3-3 on aggregate to see the Premier League side through on away goals

In the aftermath of PSGs exit, Neymar decided to vent his frustration on social media , with UEFA subsequently charging the Brazilian under Article 15 of the disciplinary regulations for insulting a match official.

This is a disgrace! Neymar wrote. Theyve got four guys who know nothing about football to look at it [the VAR review] in slow motion and they still give it. That’s not a penalty. How can it be handball if it hits his back? Go fuck yourselves.

As a result of the ban, Neymar will miss half of the group stage in the 2019-20 Champions League.
