The National Security has withdrawn the services of four officers from the Military and Police Service who were on secondment over the assault on Citi FM journalist Caleb Kudah.

In a statement, the National Security described the action of the officers as inappropriate and contravened the Ministry’s standard operating procedures. The statement added that the officers have been referred to the Chief of Defense Staff and Police Service for appropriate investigations and sanctions.

The security agency also slammed Caleb Kudah’s entry into the National Security premises as unlawful.

“An investigation committee was set up by the Ministry of National Security to investigate a report of arrest of Mr Caleb Kudah of Citi FM on May 11, 2021. • The secondment of Lieutenant Colonel Frank Agyeman (Director of Operations) at the Ministry has been reversed. The officer is to report to the Chief of Defence Staff for further investigation and appropriate action.
