13/04/2020

Military men have stormed Chorkor in the Greater Accra region after residents defied the lockdown order that was imposed by the President to party at the beach.

Earlier yesterday, some residents at Chorkor disobeyed the lockdown directive to celebrate at the beach on Easter Sunday.

The military stormed the beaches yesterday to sack the people breaking the law.

Barriers are being mounted at various junctions at Chorkor in order to ensure that the resident follows the lockdown protocol and drivers and motor riders have to change their route upon seeing the presence of the military.

The Ghana Police Service has also released a statement to warn the general public that anyone found at the beach will be arrested and have also urged civilians to cooperate with the directive.
