Michael Essien makes it in the Chelsea Team of the Decade

Ghanaian Footballer, Michael Essien has been selected as part of the Chelsea Team of the Decade.

The English Club created the team of 11 top players who played for the Club from 2009 to 2019 with Michael Essien being part of the only 3 midfielders selected.

Essien said he is “delighted to be part of the Chelsea family for life”.

The Ghanaian International Midfielder broke the news on Twitter, tuesday.

Other African Footballers who made it in the team of the decade includes; Didier Drogba and Kante.

Chelsea Manager, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Willian, Hazard and Ashley Cole also made it to the team of the decade.

The Team of the decade was voted for by Chelsea’s fans of the 5th Stand App.
