A 27-year-old man identified as Derrick Amponsah has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the Bekwai Circuit Court for defiling and biting the clitoris of a 15-year-old student in the cause of the act.
This outrageous incident that took place at the Manso Yawkrom in the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region left the 15-year-old second cycle student whose name is yet to be known to bleed profusely from her genitals.
According to prosecution, Prosecutor, Detective Inspector Stephen Ofori stated that the culprit used his hands, fingers,and penis to defile the victim.prosecution
Inspector Stephen Ofori also stated that on 15th, April 2020 around 11:00 am, the suspect called the victim on phone to go and help him with his laundry at home.
The culprit then returned to the house to only see his clothes unwashed and then went to the victim’s house and asked her to follow him.
Inspector Stephen Ofori said that the culprit was able to convince the victim to follow him to his house and then asked her to enter the room of which she refused.
Derrick Amponsah then dragged the victim to his room and forced himself on her leaving her with wounds in her genital.
He was then arrested following the report and confessed to forcibly having canal knowledge of the victim.
He was arraigned for court and pleaded guilty of two counts of assault and defilement.
Both acts contravene sections 84 and 101 respectively the Criminal Acts, Act 29 of 1960.
The Bekwai Circuit Court presided over by Her Lordship, Joyce Boahen convicted Derrick Amponsah at his own plea.
