The call for lockdown in Ghana seems to have finally gotten roots as various information proves a possible lockdown in 4 major Cities across the country.
After Ghana recorded over 100 positive coronavirus cases, many stakeholders including Ghana Medical association called on the President to implement a lockdown as a measure to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
However, today a release from the Ghana Police Service confirmed that a lockdown will soon me announced in four major Cities across Ghana namely, Accra, Kumasi, Obuasi and Tema.
In view of the possible lockdown, the Ghana Police Service has deployed strategies to contain the lockdown.
According to the statement signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kwaku Boadu Pepra, it is anticipated that there will be a partial or total lockdown in the four cities that’s why they are announcing their proactive measures.
If it happens, all roads leading to these four Cities are closed.
