Industry Players no more in love with Shatta Wale – 3Music Awards Founder

04/04/2019

The 3 Music Awards founder and coordinator, Sadiq Abdulai Abu in a rebuttal debunked the assertion that, Shatta Wale was helped by the board.

He revealed the public was the reason of Shatta’s win which also presupposes that Shatta has lost industry player’s heart compared to Stonebwoy.

“The public helped Shatta Wale win the awards, not the board. He (Shatta Wale) didn’t get enough votes from the Board and Academy,” He said on Hitz FM

“Because Shatta Wale didn’t get enough votes from the Board and Academy, I’d planned to meet him to tell him that, he’s no more winning the hearts of industry players so should work on it. Stonebwoy has massive industry love when it comes to Board and Academy voting, he gets lots of votes but Shatta amasses more votes from the public,” he revealed.

Sadiq also explained, 60%per cent voting right was given to the public hence the fans of the various musicians should not blame the Board and Academy for any musician that loses.

According to him, this decision of the 60% public voting is to give the fans the opportunity of having a say in who wins what at the 3 Music Awards.

Shatta Wale in a rather sharp defense tweeted, “Aaaahhhh now Ghana will know ..no wonder Ghanaians will always vote for president and not parliament. Funny industry.. Like if u do shows don’t include the public errrhh @Hitz1039FM if Ibe public like ago win aaaa [sic].”
