Ghanaian actress and social media celebrity Rosemond Brown also known as Akuapem Poloo has come out to deny reports that she has not been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department following her nude photo with her son she posted on Instagram yesterday 30 June.
According to reports sighted on Graphic showbiz, Akuapem Poloo said that her recent apology and she deleting the nude photo was not linked to any police invitation.
She pulled the photo down only because of the respect she had for the people that had called her to do so.
“No one has invited me but I decided to pull down the picture because of the respect I have for those who called. I was not under pressure by anyone to pull the picture down but I did it out of respect,” she said.
The nude picture was pulled down and replaced with a picture of herself and her son but this time they were all wearing a beautiful matching fabric.
Akuapem Poloo has said that she is not disturbed by the insults rained by her critics but rather they should focus on the message she was putting out there and not the nude picture.
Looking at excerpts of the caption for her son’s birthday post she stated, “Son today reminds me of the very day I gave birth to you with no stress and with no regret…..30th June 2013 exactly 4:46am Sunday Haha I still remember this date paa because it’s really meant a lot to me, I only felt the 30 minutes pain when you were turning to come out??? you were too good to me…”
According to Akuapem Poloo, she meant no harm but she intended to remind every child to cherish their mom and clothe her when she is naked in public. That’s thoughtful.
However, some Ghanaians didn’t see her message but rather the nudity and tagged it ‘Child Rights Abuse’
She explained that her private parts were covered in case something went wrong.
“Although I might look naked, my private parts were covered and hey if we see nothing wrong with the foreign celebrities taking nude pictures, why should anyone have problem with mine?” she said.
