Popular Kumawood Actress, Akyere Bruwaa has hinted the main cause of the fall down of the Ghanaian Movie industry, attributing it to the high proliferation of TV Decoders.
Eventhough, the Actress did not point if it was Multi TV, DSTV or Go TV but she centred her argument on the high rise of Ghanaians patronizing in TV Decoders since it was quick and easy to use.
Akyere Bruwaa who was a guest on United Showbiz hosted by Ace Actress, Nana Ama McBrown made the revelation.
In the midst of other top Actors and Actresses, who met to discuss the cause, effect and solutions of the fall of the Ghanaian Movie Industry, the Ace Actress said “In my humble opinion, the high rise of TV Decoders destroyed our movies”.
She further continued that “Even illiterates found it very easy to use. You only switch it on and get movies to watch without hustle. You could notice that it was difficult for our market women and other illiterates to disconnect the Decoder, take out the cable and reconnect with a CD Player to watch our movies, So the TV Decoders was just easy and simple for them”. Akyere Bruwaa stated.
