Kumasi Asante Kotoko have condemned their bitter rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak to a 2-1 defeat at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The first meeting between the two mammoth clubs in Ghana in 2020 ended in tears for the Phobians.
Kotoko were off to a good start when Justice Blay headed home from a lovely cross on the 11th minute mark.
The hosts got their equalizer in the 64th minute when their talisman Joseph Esso took advantage of a loose ball in Kotoko’s penalty box.
The game was heading for a stalemate before Kotoko’s Naby Keita snatched the maximum points for the Porcupine Warriors from the penalty spot.
Kotoko have now moved to fourth positon on the Ghana Premier League table with 12 points in their first 6 games.
