Legendary Highlife singer, Ofori Amponsah has attributed the collapse of his music career to some friends he accepted around him.
Ofori Amponsah revealed that his career came to an unfortunate decline because of friends.
The ‘Otoolege’ singer was the most topical subject in the Ghanaian music industry from early 2000’s. He released hit songs including ‘Delila’, ‘Otoolege’ , ‘Odwo’, ‘Emmanuella’, ‘Broken Heart’ and more. In 2007, he historically won 7 awards in the Ghana Music Awards.
Ofori Amponsah has helped advance the careers of some highlife singers such as the late Kofi B, Kofi Nti, KK Fosu, Barosky and more, after Daddy Lumba introduced him to the music scene in 1999.
However, 13 years down the line, the singer has not been very active in music. He has attributed the decline in his music career to some people he accepted around him
“I am someone who do not accept people easily. But one thing I should say is my music career fell because of some people who came to my life“. He told Abeiku Santana on ‘ATUU’.
