Former Medeama coach Samuel Boadu has officially joined Accra Hearts of Oak as the club’s new head coach on a three-year contract, the club has announced.
Samuel Boadu who left the Tarkwa based side a week ago had been rumoured to be heading to the Phobian team in the past week after his shock resignation from Medeama SC.
Hearts has been without a substantive coach since Serbian Kosta Papic left for South Africa with junior team coach Samuel Nii Noi handling the team in an interim basis.
The Announcement of Samuel Boadu as coach therefore comes as no surprise as was revealed by a member of the Hearts of oak Board Alhaji Akambi after the league game with Kotoko.
“Samuel Boadu is officially starting work on the 1st of March. We signed him for three years and is coming with his own assistant,” he revealed.
Boadu is widely tipped to bring in his 28-year-old trusted righthand man Hamza Obeng from Medeama as a first assistant coach.
Meanwhile, the new-look Hearts of Oak technical team is expected to include returnees W.O 1 Paul Tandoh and Ben Adjei as Physical Trainer and Welfare Officer/Team Manager respectively.
