Floyd Mayweather has announced he is coming out of retirement in 2020 at age 42.
The legendary boxer, who boasts a 50-win record with zero defeats, took to Instagram as he captioned a photo of himself in blue boxing shorts: ‘Coming out of retirement in 2020’. He turns 43 on February 24.
Mayweather’s news was quickly re-posted on Twitter by UFC chief Dana White, leading to talk that the pair could work together and the boxer could cross over to MMA – Mix Martial Arts for his sensational return.
The pair were seen together sitting courtside at the recent Los Angeles Clippers win over the Boston Celtics at the Staples Center on Wednesday night.
