David Duncan Named Black Stars Assistant Coach


Former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak gaffer, David Duncan , has been appointed the new assistant coach of the senior national team of Ghana, adomonline.com can confirm.

The experienced trainer replaces Ibrahim Tanko following the dissolution of the Kwesi Appiah -led technical team.

The tough-talking trainer will assist newly-appointed head coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor .
Duncan has been clubless after he was sacked as Kotoko coach four years ago.

He led Ghana’s U-17 side to win silver at the 2005 African Under-17 Championship in Gambia and also worked as head coach for the Ghana U-23 in 2011.

Duncan holds Advanced National Diploma from the USA which is equivalent to UEFA A License and CAF license A .
He also had stints with clubs in Cyprus where he was appointed as the trainer of trainers for youth development in that country.

David Duncan has also had attachments with FC Copenhagen, Esberg FC in Denmark.
He has also coached South African club Free State Stars in 2018.
