Over 90% staff of Ministry of Education have tested positive – Matthew Opoku Prempeh Reveals

The Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has made it known that about 90 per cent of the staff at the ministry have tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to him, when he was told that he had COVID-19, a mass test was conducted on all the staff at the Ministry, revealing that most of them had contracted the disease.

Granting an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi, the Education Minister said although the test indicated that most of the staff had COVID-19, they were mostly asymptomatic.

He explained that after a second test which revealed he was positive, the mass testing began, adding that out of every 50 persons, 45 had been infected.

However, he noted that they were all in isolation and receiving treatment.
