Counsellor Lutterodt has finally reacted to his ‘every rape victim enjoys the act’ comment.
Ghanaians and some celebrities have called for the head of Counsellor Lutterodt over an assertion he made about rape during an interview on Adom TV.
The likes of Ama Abebrese, Juliet Ibrahim, Nana Aba Anamoah,El, Edem, Jessica Saforo among other celebrities have expressed their pleasure at the self-acclaimed counsellor’s ‘unfortunate’ comment.
Some celebrities have called on radio stations and TV stations to ban Counsellor Lutterodt from featuring on their platforms.
A petition was started by Ivy Prosper, a Ghanaian-Canadian TV host and lifestyle blogger copied to the Ministry of Communications, National Communications Authority and Ghana Psychology Council to ban George Lutterodt from TV and radio stations.
Amid all the expressions of displeasure from Ghanaians, Counsellor Lutterodt has defended his statement in a recent interview on Hitz FM.
According to Counsellor Lutterodt, most people attacking him haven’t watched the full interview to get in-depth information but have just based their judgement on the short video circulating on social media.
He added that most people criticizing him have misinterpreted his statement in the short clip to make them relevant.
“what is going on is not about me, people now are doing media ‘content-ship’ and we those who have the voice when we grant the option of interviews to relevant media houses and they make headlines then others will want to pick it up so they could make some small appearance with it”. Counsellor Lutterodt told Andy Dosty in an interview with Hitz FM.
“If you watch the video and listen to the issue carefully, clearly put you can see that the statement is really a sensible statement from a defending educated elite spiritualist,” he added.
The popular TV/radio analyst ‘schooled’ Andy Dosty as he disagreed with some of his comments but Counsellor Lutterodt educated him that per the law rape cannot be used for an incident involving a person below 18 years.
He expatiated that molestation/defilement can be used for an incident involving a person below 18 years and his comment was never related to molestation.
He at a point subtly branded the likes of Nana Aba Anamoah, Ama Abebrese, Juliet Ibrahim and others as ignorant because he never generalized his statement as he stated that he made that statement per his cases and research.
Predictably, the celebrities will still come for Counsellor Lutterodt after defending his rape comment.
