Information reaching Vibeweek.com indicates that Ghana’s first two cases of the coronavirus (Covid-19) are not Ghanaians but indeed foreign nationals.
According to Citi News sources, one of them is a senior official at the Norwegian Embassy in Ghana, whereas the other is a Turkish citizen. During the emergency press conference, the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, did not disclose the identities of the two patients, except to say the cases were imported into the country.
There are other lacking information from Thursday night’s press conference as he also did not state when or how the two foreign nationals entered the country and whether or not they underwent the compulsory checks and screening.
The Health Minister however revealed that the the two patients are stable and have been kept in isolation.” Meanwhile, in the face of this pandemic that has hit several countries across the globe, an aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Stan Xoese Dogbe seems to have a lot of questions on his mind.
He took to his Facebook page a few hours after the Health Ministry publicly announced that the pandemic has finally hit the country. He put across certain questions that are quite critical and mind-boggling.
He quizzed on how the two individuals were found and detected to be carrying the virus. According to him, health officials and sources in the presidency allegedly confirmed that the cases were known as of yesterday afternoon prior to the recording to the President’s address on March 11, 2020.
