Chelsea announces Three as new official shirt sponsor |

Mobile telecommunication operator Three has just signed a three-year deal with Chelsea and becomes the club’s new jersey sponsor.

A few hours after announcing the end of its collaboration with Yokohama , at least when it comes to jersey sponsorship, Chelsea has communicated the name of the successor to the Japanese tire brand.

From now on, the Blues’ jerseys will be adorned with the number “3”, in reference to the eponymous English network operator. This three-year contract will begin in the 2020-21 season.

According to Dailymail, the contract would go far beyond that signed by Chelsea with Yokohama, which was around 47 million euros per year.

The operator has also committed to equipping Stamford Bridge with 5G.

Note that Three is also the sponsor of the Irish national team.
