Three celebrated African footballers will be competiting for the ultimate Award category of the night, African Player of the year 2019.
The event that seeks to recognize hardworking footballers in Africa will be held at the Albatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, Egypt.
The 28th edition of the CAF Awards will honor African women’s player of the year as well as other notable categories.
The most highly focused category, the African Player of Year has nominees including; Mohammed Salah (Egypt), Riyad Mahrez (Algeria) and Sadio Mane (Senegal).
However, there has been mixed reviews among football fans as to who really deserves the ultimate Award of the night.

The event will start with a Red Carpet at 19:00 local time (18:00 CET) on Tuesday 7 January. The awards show is scheduled to begin at 21:00 local time.
