Some aggrieved residents in Takoradi have blocked the road leading to a polling station in Kwendo, and have set tired ablaze in the middle of the road to prevent todays elections from happening.
They are agnry because their needs were not met, after several years of waiting for their roads to be constructed by the MCE of the area.
According to reports, the residents set the fire on Monday morning between the hours of 5am to 6am.
However, elections is still going on at some of polling station in the constituency.
The MP for the Takoradi constituency is Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko Memsah who is seeking re-election against Frederick Faustinus Faidoo.
