Vibeweek.com has learned that nine more cases of infection of the coronavirus have been recorded in Ghana. This has increased the total number of infected people in Ghana to 214, out of which three have recovered and 18 cases are being managed at home.
96 out of the 214 patients are responding to treatment and two of them are moderately ill, according to the report.
So far, Ghana has recorded five deaths since the epidemic began spreading in the country.
Earlier, JoyNews reported that 31 people had recovered from the coronavirus.
The number was attributed to the Disease Surveillance Department of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and confirmed by the Ghana Health Service.
It was also reported that a Guinean who went missing in Tamale in the Northern region after testing positive for the coronavirus has been found in Accra.
In line with strategies to curb the spread of the virus, President Akufo-Addo extended the order of closure of Ghana’s borders by 14 days.
He also held a meeting with the representatives of the various political parties in Ghana to deliberate on the best strategies to eradicate the COVID-19 from the country.
